Introducing: Sculpted
As design tools become more automated, the physical act of making often gets left behind. This project is a deliberate choice to slow down, put deeper thought into the process, and treat that making experience as the actual message.
The result is Sculpted, an experimental typeface featuring three styles: Stone, Felt, and Glass. Instead of forcing a digital grid onto the letterforms, I let the unique properties of each material guide the typography:

Stone: Hand-carved soapstone, where the grain demanded strong weight and structural permanence.
Felt: Needle-felted by hand, using interlocking fibers to create organic, textured forms.
Glass: Shaped using flameworking, capturing liquid, molten tension before it solidified.

Each letter was photographed to document the labor built into it. I hope this inspires our design community to bring more intentional, physical effort into our work and take inspiration from the tangible world around us. Please feel free to download and use the typeface!
